Great, original, superb controlls

Only crit is the Medels didnt work.
I definitely completed it, and also got a 100x multiplayer, yet no models :-/
Then again, I find the medel system dosnt work in many games, so it might just be newgrounds.

90% of a good game

Youve got 90% of a good game here, but the last 10% is really holding the game back a lot.
A little more diversity.
Like others have said, boss's would be a good idea.
But I also think making the upgrades a little more interesting and harder to get.
(how about explosive radius? Hitting many enemys at once? How about the ability to lay down oil to slow them down? Or even set fire to the ground behind you..)
Kickback is a nice touch, I like how thats implemented.

Good work, hope you make a sequal just making the game a little harder and more changing as it goes.

I was enjoy it quite a bit, but now it gets stuck

...on the "About" screen.

every time a load, even trying in a different browser. After asking me for if I want sound it jumps instantly to the ABOUT page, and clicking back does nothing :(
I think I was on lvl6-7, having replayed a lot of them.

From what I played so far it seemed like a good game, lotsof upgrades, and the speed challange idea was good too.
Only major change Id make was having some non-liner levels? Probably wouldnt work on your engine, but it would be nice to be able to freely explore in 2d occasionally rather then purely being vertical shotting all the time.
Purhapes for a sequal you could make it a full space-ship-upgrade-based-rpg thingy :P

Im not sure why this happens, but you would need to clear your flash saved data to continue playing.. are you using flash player 10?

Ill keep that in mind for my next game.

nicely balanced.

89 for me. (I had 4 goes)

Interesting everyone seems to get similiar scores.
I like the theory of the guy below too.

Nice game anyway, almost like a study of the brain.

neato

2774, Level 5.

Judgeing by the reviews below, it seems a lot have missed an obvious tactic :P
Upto lvl5 its relatively easy as long as you use your head a little from the start.

That said, it could do with more varience .
Nice idea though, I love how it shrinks after each stage.

Good start

Absolutely fantastic graphics, and a nice gameplay concept.

Just needs a little more structure and much more varience in the gameplay.
Keep up the good work.

Excelent game, wonderfull concept and good result.

The only real idea to improve it would purhapes be one more graphical level near the end. The special-effects of the last update seem superb, but the graphics look too oldschool in comparison.
Still, the idea of upgradeing the graphics I really like.
Great humour all over.

Overall a great game, not just the upgrades. Being able to place the weapons on the ship yourself gives it a edge.
Allthough I'm not too sure this is a statement against upgrades as much as Achivement Unlocked is against needless achivements. I do rate games for their enjoyment alone, but upgrades effect that.

I think upgrades are great in games as long as they significantly alter gameplay.

A live leason, purhapes.

Bit hard to judge this "game"...is it a well made, awfull game?
Or a clever piece of art making some statement on something?
Is it, purhapes a tool to educate people that time is precious and they shouldnt waste it on meaningless things?
I dunno.

The fact it is evil though, that much is true.
And, in terms of production, is a well made evil.

Pretty nicely done

Good structure to the upgrades, and watching the chain reactions is fun.
I completed it, and the difficulty curve was about right.

My only crit is the same as most games; Needs more varience :)
How about having different elements in the arenas itself? (Walls, mirrors, or static mines on the ground). You could then have a few levels with very few polygons moving about, and you have to time it right to blow them all up using the enviroment.
(youd want pre-set motion paths possible too I guess, for those types of levels)

Still, good work.
Hope you make a sequal of somekind.

Needs a bit more

The areas are nice...especialy the yellow, feels nice when the ball comes out of it back to normal speed. Nice physics.
But the actual gameplay needs more to it. Purhapes have different types of stages...some where you have to collect things in a specific order, some with different directions etc. Purhapes chuck in some upgrade-system, and a level-selection or unlocking system too.

Im not expert in flash, but see my avatar? I make stuff like that. :)Also CGI animations and graphics.
